10 Ways To Save Money And Live More Frugally:

1. Take count of the food you have in the kitchen

Or what about sandwiches or breakfasts for dinner?  These are all great ideas. If you need more meal ideas to get you through check this out.

2. Is your lunch and coffee prepared for tomorrow?

I know hitting the drive thru or the diner is way easier than packing lunch.  You could save $15 or more if you made tomorrow’s lunch right now and prepared the coffee maker for your morning.

That’s $15, fifteen dollars saved is dinner out with friends in the future or a present for yourself or part of a bill paid.

Making lunch is easy.  Pack some leftovers, or a salad, or some finger food, yogurt and fruit is always good. What do you have? What is in the fridge? Pack your lunch today, keep some money in your wallet.

3. Do you know how much money is coming in and how much money is going out?

Do you know how much money is in your savings account? If you do great!  If you don’t checkout this real easy to use budgeting worksheet.  Simply fill in all the blanks and you know where your money is.  Now you can make your money work for you.

4. Do you have a grocery list on the fridge?

Look it over.  First, do you really need everything on it? It’s perfectly normal to add item wants to the grocery list. But right now we are trying to save money.  Can you eliminate a few items off that list?

What if you cleared the clutter in the house?  Do you have a few multiples that you have stockpiled that you could use up till the next time you need to go shopping?

5. Could you go the whole day without spending money?

Could you, really?  Say it’s the weekend and you want to get out of the house and entertain the kids and grab a bite to eat. Could you do it without spending a dime? Yes, you could and it would probably be an amazing day.

Could you plan a girls night or weekend on the frugal and save money?

6. Laundry… Laundry can get expensive

Especially, if you’re a college student or you have to use a local coin laundry. Or if you have a large family. Laundry expenses mount up to soap, softener, water costs and electricity. And time which we all seem to be short on these days.

If you made your own laundry soap could you save money?  What if you hung your clothes to dry? Would washing your clothes on a cooler cycle in large loads save you money? Discover a ton of laundry hacks that will save you both time and money.

7. Dinner from two nights ago is going to go to waste what do you do?

You freeze it.  Or you take it in your oven lunch box and have yummy leftovers for lunch.  Did you know you can freeze these 50+ items to save money?

8. How are you cleaning the house?

Did you know you can clean the house using a simple spray bottle filled with a mixture of water and vinegar?  Add in a few drops of essential oil for added cleaning benefit and a great smell.

Simple cleaning ideas like this can save you hundreds throughout the year and limit your family’s exposure to chemicals.

9. It’s Friday night but money is tight what do you do?

You save money and plan one of these amazing frugal dates. Make it about quality not the quantity of dollars spent.

10. What is one thing you could change today that is costing you a lot of money?

This is a planning step.  What is one thing you can think of right now that is costing you lots of money? Your mortgage or your rent? Your cable bill?  Or your cellphone bill? Or groceries? What could you do to change those costs?

Could you cancel something?  Or downsize?  Or opt for a cheaper plan? What could you do to save yourself money?
