I haven’t tried freezing eggs yet, our family seems to go through eggs before I can do anything with the extras. But it is great to know if there is a great sale on eggs I now have options.
Who doesn’t love avocado. The down fall to avocado is it turns brown if you don’t use it up fast enough. Now you don’t have to worry because you can freeze the extras and there is no food waste.
Freezer Bag Soup
Talking food waste, in our house we have a freezer bag in the freezer we add the extra vegetable ends, meat bones (separate bag) and herbs to that we save. We freeze these and when we are ready to make bone broth or soup stock we have all the ingredients ready to go.
It is simple and easy to freeze food and save money. Even if you just freeze a loaf of bread or a stick of butter or your favorite meal you are still saving money.
Stockpile your freezer when things go on sale at the grocery store or when you decide to bake or prepare freezer meals. Every little bit helps.
