Yes, you read that right. Start making your money work for you. The best thing my husband and I did was take Financial Peace University. We learned what we were doing wrong with our money and what we needed to do to fix it. Best investment ever!

1. Stop trying to keep up.
Be happy with what you have. The Joneses are broke. Multiple vacations, new wardrobes and lots of toys come with lots of debt.
2. Skip the drive thru.
I know it is real easy just to pick up breakfast or lunch. But you can save over $25 a day by brown bagging it from home.
3. Invest in a good coffee maker.
Do you love your morning coffee? You can save a ton of money brewing it at home and putting it in a travel mug and bring it to work. The key is to purchase a great coffee machine. Some even come with a wake up setting.
4. Learn to meal plan.
I love meal planning it saves us so much money. Eating out was wrecking our budget. Now I know what’s for dinner and it is ready to go when I get home. No more wondering what to cook.

6. Learn to have fun.
The cheap way. Did you know you can have an amazing time without spending a dime?
