Saving money is way easier than you think.
I know you look at the bank statement or your wallet and you think, “no it is not easy to save money”. Especially when money is tight already.
So here it is, I challenge you to try one of the tips below and see how much money you save. If you save some, even ten dollars try another tip and see how much you save combined.
I have been there. I know how hard it is to save money when you think there is no extra money to be had.
Where are you spending your money?
Have you really looked at all the “stuff” you purchase week to week? Do you really need all that stuff?
The reason I ask is we are all people and people like stuff. Pretty stuff, stuff to pass the time, stuff to give and things we receive.
When my husband and I really took a long hard look at all the stuff we were spending our money on I was amazed. I knew we were over spending on eating out.
But I didn’t realize we were spending so much on “stuff”. You can read about the 21 things we stopped buying to save money. The savings was amazing.
Do you have a budget or a money worksheet?
If you are looking to save money in 2018 or at anytime you need a budget or money worksheet.
You simple fill it in and figure out where all your money is coming and going. The trick to making a budget work is to be honest.
Be honest with yourself and your spouse. No hiding receipts or new pairs of shoes. Give every dollar a job and you will see results.
If you are looking to get out of debt and learn more about budgeting invest in yourself and this book, The Total Money Makeover.
