Let’s face it and get the ugly idea out in the open.
Your home needs to be cleaned. On a regular basis. For some people that is every week, for others it is every two weeks and for others it is only when company comes over.
Honestly, cleaning the house isn’t as hard as some may think and with natural cleaners it makes it so much easier.
No more spending $10 a bottle for cleaners that say they are naturally sourced. Nope, no more.
Did you know you can make a gallon of all purpose cleaners for about two to three dollars? A gallon, yes you read that right.
4 Natural Cleaners Your Home Needs
Baking Soda
Baking soda is amazing when you need that deep down clean. Or fresh elimination of odor. But I am sure when you think of baking soda you think of a mixing bowl or the fridge, am I right?
So you have tile grim you need to clean. Mix a paste of water and baking soda. Using a rag or toothbrush apply to the area in question and rinse with water.
Does your garbage or compost bin need refreshing? Add a sprinkle of baking soda directly to the bin for a great biodegradable air freshener.
Vinegar
I don’t know about where you live but the average price of a bottle of natural cleaner where we live runs about seven dollars and it might just be enough to clean the house twice top to bottom.
And I know seven dollars in not a lot but I can buy a gallon of vinegar for way less. Add in some water and essential oils and I have the best all purpose cleaner a frugal mom could want.
I use a 50/50 water, vinegar mix and add in essential oils to help with the cleaning process and to make the smell more pleasant.
You can use this all purpose cleaner on most surfaces.
Castile Soap
Liquid clean, simple easy to use soap. A popular brand of castile soap is Dr. Bronner’s. Castile soap is versatile, easy to use, non-toxic and affordable.
It can be used as laundry soap, body wash, hand soap, dish detergent and car wash. This economical green cleaner is so versatile it is a must for any frugal home.
Essential Oils
Did you know that essential oils are antifungals and antibacterial? Add them to vinegar and water and you have a great all purpose cleaner.
You can also use essential oils to rid your home of unwanted odors and germs. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to a diffuser and your home will be smelling good in no time.
It is time to clean naturally and save money.
Use up all the current cleaners you have then skip the overpriced bottles and start DIY your own natural household cleaners. Your house will smell great with all the essential oils.
And your pocketbook will thank you for all the money you are saving.
Have an amazing day,
Cynthia
