Surviving On A Tight Budget

Living and surviving on a tight budget is stressful and hard.  But possible! Discover ways to save money on a tight budget.

Saving Money On A Tight Budget

Finding extra money in a tight budget may seem impossible when you have already budgeted out your income.  Cut coupons, opted for generic instead of name brand and cut the cable.

Ways To Save Money

Maybe your a single income household or a single parent.  Or maybe your running a low income budget due to job loss or maybe you just don’t make enough.  No matter your reason here are 5 ways to help you find money in an already tight budget.

5 Ways Save Money On A Tight Budget:

1. Look at your food bill

It’s something so simple yet it can save you so much money.  Look at the food you are purchasing?  Are you eating it all, or is some going to waste?  Is some of it finding it’s way to the back of the cupboard or pantry?

Can you cut out some items and still make it through to next payday?  What if you opted for a cheaper substitution? What about going generic for a week or two?

Do you order your groceries online?

We do this for a few reasons.  One being it’s a huge time saver.  The other is I can track my spending as I add items to my cart.

Did you know you can have your groceries delivered right to your door?

All your favorite stuff: coffee, pasta, vegetables and more.  Why go shopping when you can have all your favorites delivered right to your door and usually for way less than the grocery store price with Amazon free 30-Day trial right here.

2. Look at your budget

It may sound crazy, but look at your budget.  Where can you cut just a little bit and still get by?  Do you need that much for entertainment this week? What about groceries can you cut a few things? Learn what we cut to save over $1000.

At the beginning of our budgeting journey I took a real hard look at where we were spending our money. I learned some great money saving tricks with The Grocery Budget Workshop.  Like how to cut our grocery budget in half and still eat well. Sign up for their free workshop and start saving money right away.

3. Download this app to receive free money

You have cut every coupon you can but have you downloaded these money saving apps.  Have you hear about Ratuken?  They offer you cash rebates on items you normally shop for like milk, shampoo, diapers and more. Cash rebates are like instant money.

You receive cash back on purchase you are already making.  In fact I love Ratuken so much I want to give you a free gift. Try Rakuten and receive a $10 gift my treat .  Ratuken can help you save money even in the tightest budget.

4. Do a no spend challenge

Have you heard about a no spend challenge? The general idea is you spend only enough to cover your bills and necessities.  No extra shopping for toys, shoes or make up.  No going out on expensive dates.

Your goal is to save money and live within your means.  You make homemade meals, have date nights in and plan family game nights.  All in an effort to loosen your tight budget.

5. Know your why

Having and knowing your why can be a big motivator.  Why do you want to save money?  Why are you trying to find ways to save on your already tight budget?

Write your why down where you can see it everyday to motivate you.  Use it when setting money goals.  Remind yourself of your why when things get stressful and hard. And know it will get easier.
