1. Look at your food bill
It’s something so simple yet it can save you so much money. Look at the food you are purchasing? Are you eating it all, or is some going to waste? Is some of it finding it’s way to the back of the cupboard or pantry?
Can you cut out some items and still make it through to next payday? What if you opted for a cheaper substitution? What about going generic for a week or two?

Have you heard about a no spend challenge? The general idea is you spend only enough to cover your bills and necessities. No extra shopping for toys, shoes or make up. No going out on expensive dates.
