Simple healthy changes you should make to your everyday.
In an all too consuming economy of do this and do that to be healthy. There has to be a few simple things you can do to feel better and look better. Bottom line we really want to feel better, to stress less and enjoy more.
In order to help you feel better in your everyday and to help you stress less we did the research and found 7 actionable steps or activities that will help you feel fabulous and change your overall health.
1. Get out and be active.
I’m not saying go join the football team or run track. Get out and add a few more steps to your day. With today’s technology we do a lot more sitting than our Grandparents did.
Work toward getting in your 10,000 steps. Take the stairs, park further from the store entrance, take the kids for a walk around the park.

2. Drink more water.
I know we have all heard it before, but you know what it’s true. Your body needs water to do it’s job and to work more efficiently. And all you have to do is add in a few more glasses of water a day.
Drinking more water will help your body flush out all the bad stuff and the wonders it does for your skin.
Now if you are one of those people like me who forgets to drink more water you can invest in one of these to help you remember.
3. Take time away from the screen.
I read a post the other day about how as parents we sit down on the couch after putting the kids to bed with the intent to spend time with our spouse but instead we are surfing the web or checking our socials on our cellphones.
As a blogger I could spend all day on my laptop, but it isn’t good for me, my family or my health. Take some down time. Turn it off. Spend time with your family or spend time doing what you love.
Take a walk, read a book, get out and enjoy life.
4. Get some rest.
Do you remember the days when you could run on 4 hours of sleep and still get everything done? Add in a few kids and 4 hours isn’t enough. The average adult needs 7-8 hours of sleep a night.
Your body needs time to recover and heal itself, it needs the downtime.
5. Try yoga.
Do you have trouble sleeping? Does your back ache? Try yoga. Yoga is amazing for your body and there are various types to suit your needs.
If you are looking to relax and unwind or strengthen your muscles there is a yoga for you.
6. Be grateful.
Gratitude is being thankful for what you have. Cherishing the small moments. Be thankful for the roof over your head, the food in your belly and the goals you set.
Focus on being more present in your life by starting a gratitude journal.
7. Do something you love.
When we take two seconds to do something we love like cuddling with our family or taking the dog for a walk or relaxing with a cup of tea while reading a book we are giving ourselves permission to be happy.
And we should spend more of life being happy and doing what we love. Doing something you love puts a smile on your face, it grounds you. It wipes away all the stress and the frustration.
Take a few seconds and do what you love.
Do something for yourself everyday.
As Moms we take care of other people day in and day out, which can drain us. I know it drains me.
My Grandmother said something to me once, “you have to take care of you so that you can take care of the world, even if it means getting a bit more rest”.
It’s true! Do something for yourself everyday so that you have the strength to take care of your world, your family.
