Let’s face it being broke is stressful on it’s own.
Add in trying to save money and it adds a whole different level of stress. But…. it is possible.
You can save money even when things are tight.
And I totally get it. You are living on one paycheck trying to make it all work and save money.
Maybe you are saving money for common everyday things like groceries and rent. Or maybe you are trying to save for a weekend away with the kids.
Whatever you are trying to save for it is possible.
You need to create a plan with your goal in mind. You might be saving a dollar here or five dollars there. Every little bit helps.
Rome wasn’t built in a day. Disney wasn’t built in a month or a year. Everything is built step by step.
Saving money is a step by step process.
If you need to save money right now. For rent or groceries try this.
If you need to save money before the end of the month or even before the end of the week for rent or groceries.
Try cutting back on some of your everyday activities.
Could you have a vegetarian meal for dinner? Could you skip the drive thru coffee?
What about cutting the cable or another bill you really don’t need right now?
Is there loose change around the house? What about stuff you could sell to make some extra money?
What could you do without to make it thru?
What if you need to save money for the end of the month or for 3 months from now or longer what can you do?
You make a plan and stick to it! You have your eye on the prize and you don’t look back.
You make a plan for every dollar coming in and going out.
You learn to live well on less so that you can save money for what you need.
Where do you spend most of your money? Do you spend it on food? Or on entertainment? Or is it on buying stuff?
Once you have figured out where most of your money is going you can cut back and start saving.
Saving money is a process it is not an immediate right now thing.
Yes, you could save $50 today by not taking the family out for dinner. But saving $1000 is going to take you more than a day to save. It is a process – a rewarding process.
The results of hard work and perseverance are their own reward.
Stick to your plan. Cut back on how you are spending. Learn to live more frugally.
