We don’t have all the time in the world to cook from scratch so meal planning is a great frugal choice. For example a working mom may meal plan, choose to exchange daycare with a friend, workout at home and enjoy cheap Starbucks to make it through. Take the biggest “spending” and see how you can decrease it. For us it was eating out. I worked long hours, our kids were in daycare and pizza was easy.
