Are you wandering the stores wondering what to give your family and friends?
You could be shopping for birthday or holiday presents or shopping for just because gifts.
Picture this you are standing in an aisle in a packed store. You are wondering and hoping for inspiration on what to give as a gift.
I will let you in on a secret. You won’t find inspiration in a packed aisle of a department store. Think about it. Busy stores, too many people, too much stuff.
If you must buy something tangible. Something you can wrap.
Think about the person. What do they like? What are their hobbies? How would they end this sentence, “I wish I could…..”?
Could you gift them an experience?
Is there something you could do together that they would truly enjoy? See a movie? Watch a play, take dance lessons, checkout a local band? Or a nice dinner? Or coffee and dessert? A massage?
Could you give them the gift of education?
I am not suggesting paying for university. Where we live local businesses give culinary and art classes. Could you give a gift like this, a class? Or is there a book they have been really wanting to read or a subject they want to learn more about that you could find a book on.
Could you give them the gift of time?
Simply put, life is short. Could your gift be doing something together that you both enjoy. Such as going for a walk and dinner or spending the day crafting or helping them with something. Or could it be offering of your time. Could your child or friend use a babysitter or mentor?
Give them a gift they will remember.
Giving someone a gift is more than placing an item in a box and wrapping it. Give them a gift they will remember and cherish. Life is short and sometimes money is tight. Give them something you know they will enjoy. You don’t need to over spend and buy, buy, buy to make someone happy. Give them a gift that shows them you care, a gift that says I was thinking about you. A gift that they will remember.
You don’t need to break the bank to gift the perfect gift. Have an amazing day.
