Living A Frugal Life

If you are looking to save money or simplify your life even a little bit you are in the right place.

Living A Frugal Lifestyle

Living frugally means making smart choices with your money.  Simple easy choices can go along way in saving money and decreasing stress.

How To Be Frugal

Being frugal is about spending less than you make, saving money, living simply and making smart choices.

Frugal Living Ideas

Frugal living tips and ideas are simple things you can add to your everyday to save more money. A great example of a frugal choice and a really great way to save money is meal planning.

Saving Money On Food

Meal planning can save you money in the kitchen, on groceries and even on time. If you are looking for a great meal plan check out MyFreezEasy by $5Dinners.

Frugal Living

Isn’t about collecting pennies and eating beans and rice every night.  Frugal living is about learning to live well on less.  Make smart money choices and plan for your future.

You can live on beans and rice if you choose to.  You’ll save a huge amount of money on groceries.

Frugal Budget Tips

One of the best ways to save money is to know exactly how much money you have.  Yes, I know the idea seems big and daunting but setting up a budget is real easy.  And believe me it will make saving money so much easier.

Frugal Finance

Are you wanting to learn more about budgeting and all the in’s and out’s of getting out of debt.  If so the Total Money Makeover is the book for you. This book will walk you step by step through all the basics of budgeting and money.

Living More Frugally

You don’t need to run out and buy anything to start living more frugally.  In fact living a frugal lifestyle is about using what you have.

How To Start Living A More Frugal Lifestyle:

1. Is the dryer running?

Turn the dryer off and hang your clothing to dry using a clothesline or clothing rack. A dryer consumes a large amount of energy and money to run.

2. Is lunch or dinner ready?

Cooking meals at home and skipping the drive thru or dinner out can save you huge amounts of money.

Think about it.  If you buy lunch everyday Monday to Friday and decide to switch it up and brown bag your lunch.  You could be saving $50 to $100 a week.

3. What are you doing Friday night?

If it included dinner out and some entertainment we may have a better option for you.  Did you know you can have an amazing night out or family fun weekend without spending a dime?

Yes it is true. Picture this, a picnic by the lake, a romantic stroll around the park followed by a massage or cup and conversation.

Or as a family what about a scavenger hunt, or playtime in the park, followed by a homemade taco and sundae bar. Ending with movies and popcorn.

4. Are you trying to keep up?

Do you find yourself trying to keep up with the Joneses?  Buying the latest things?  Comparing yourself?

It’s time to stop.  You are amazing as you.  You don’t need to compare, keep up or replicate.  You are unique – celebrate it.

The Joneses are broke.  You know all those beautiful pictures and holidays?  They are on credit, built on a pile of debt.

5. Start planning

Make a plan with your money. Know what is coming in and what is going out. Think about the future.  Where do you want to be in five years?

6. Keep it, save it, reuse it

If it is still in working order why replace it.  Do you really need the newest, latest, coolest model?  Or will your current model still do the same job?

A penny saved is a penny earned.  Grab a jar and save all your loose change.

7. Brew it at home

The average drive thru or sit down latte costs $5. If you brew your morning cup at home and bring it to work in a travel mug you will save $25 a week.

8. Turn the heat down and grab a blanket

Save yourself on electrical costs by adjusting the thermostat and adding a blanket to the bed or cuddling up with one on the couch.

9.  Do you have a girls weekend planned?

Did you know you can do a girls weekend on the cheap and still have an amazing time? Learn more.

10. Change the way you do things

Simple changes to your regular daily activities can add up in money saved.   Learn more frugal ways to save money.

How To Become Frugal

It’s easier than you think.  Simple changes can go a long way in saving you money.  If you skip the meals out, the lattes and the weekend entertainment you could save approximately $200 in a week or more.

Saving Money Each Month

Think about how much you could save in a month. Now how much more could you save by planning, setting goals and making smarter money choices.

Living Frugally Saving Money

The best frugal living tip is to assess your spending and cut back on expenses.  This can save you thousands of dollars in the long run. Stop living paycheck to paycheck and start cutting back on your expenses to save more money.
