It’s time to bring the vacation home. We have all heard about staycations and sight seeing in our own city. Hitting the local water park or the ski hill depending on the season.
Budget Friendly Vacation
But what if money is tight and all you have is a weekend to spend? Well now you can bring the vacation home and celebrate the weekend in style.
5 Tips To Making A Weekend At Home Feel Like A Vacation
You can have the best weekend and not even leave the house or over spend your budget and still wake up Monday morning feeling well rested. Things to do on a weekend at home.
1. Unplug it!
Yes, unplug it. Put it away. Sign off. Do not respond to emails or beeps or pings or attention notices. Focus on what is important your family and getting some much needed rest and relaxation.
I’ll let you in on a secret, social media will be there when you get back. Essentially, we all need a break from the news updates, the pictures and the tweets. Good quality face to face contact is important.
2. Forget the schedule!
It’s your weekend sleep in if you want to. With our current busy schedules sometimes a sleep in or a pajama day feels so good. Let your brain get some extra sleep, your body and productivity will thank you. And who says you can’t hang out in your pajamas or your yoga pants all day.
3. Plan something crazy fun!
Switch it up. No running errands or swapping laundry or cleaning the house this weekend. Plan something fun for your family to do. Maybe a scavenger hunt. Or plan a Hawaiian luau.
You can eat exotic foods, play theme related games. Change up the decor, invite a few friends over. Make some memories.
