Keeping your energy up.
As moms we have to look after lots. Plain and simple, we are busy people. Whether you are running for school pick up or running kids to activities or swapping laundry before dinner time.
We need to keep our energy up in order to get everything done. Making sure you get enough protein everyday ensures your energy stays high. It also helps to decrease fat and increase muscle mass.
I am the first to admit I need to lose a few but taking charge of my health is more than the number. It is about feeling good and being there for my family.
This year we investing in a meal planning program that includes Ketogenic recipes and meal ideas. I chose this style of planning because I know and have seen the results. Friends of our have lost over 150 lbs combined.
And honestly, I simply feel better when I am eating more vegetables, fats and protein.

Taking charge of your health.
Is about feeling better. Each one of us chooses a new meal plan or exercise routine or chooses to drink more water for our own reasons. But the main goal, the end goal is to feel better.
Do not choose a new plan or routine based on what someone else wants, do it for you. Take charge of your heath and make simple changes that help you.
You may choose to get a FitBit and keep track of your steps to ensure you are being active. Or you may opt to drink more water.
I am opting to change our meals and get out and be active more.
Enriching your mind.
Being healthy isn’t just about your body and what you put in your mouth it is also about taking care and education. Yoga and meditation are amazing for relieving stress and allowing your body to relax and decompress after a hard day.
Enriching your mind and giving yourself options are important too. I recently bought and started reading Rachel Hollis’s Girl Wash Your Face. This book is amazing every woman should read this book.
You are meant to be something great and you shouldn’t let someone else’s lies or your small imperfections hold you back. You have amazing ideas inside you and you should share them with the world.
Whether it is Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer, the beginning of the school year. Or a new years resolution it doesn’t matter taking charge of your health can happen at any time. The important thing is doing it and following through.
Grab a buddy from work or another mom pair up and take charge of your health together. Doing things as a team is always more fun.

- Add more protein (tip: add chocolate protein to plain yogurt for a high protein snack, top with seeds and nuts)
- Find time to relax and unwind
- Drink more water
- Talk a walk and be active
- Do it for YOU
