Let’s face it everyone loves to save money, no matter who you are.
We work hard for our money and if we can save money here and there, than all the better.
What is even better is when you can save money and it doesn’t cost you a dime to do so.
All too often you here “buy this and it will save you money”.
Which I do have to admit is true. I have saved a great deal of money since I bought my Instant Pot and I love my coffee maker.

Let’s talk about water, coffee, drinks and dessert.
How many of you purchase bottled water? On average 1 in 3 people drink bottled water regularly at a cost.
You can save yourself a huge amount of money by drinking tap water or filtered water and using a reusable insulated bottle.

If you have read my blog before you know I am a coffee lover. And one of the ways we started saving money was kicking my latte a day habit.
And it was real simple my husband and I brew our coffee at home and put it in travel mugs. I have this great milk frother so I get a latte like experience everyday for pennies.
Dinner, drinks and dessert sounds like a great date night right? It sounds amazing, but it usually comes with a price tag. Save the price tag and make all of it at home using the stuff you have.
Improvise, light some candles, play some music, tuck the kids into bed and enjoy each others company. Besides this way you aren’t being rushed out because someone wants your table.
Lock it up or find some common ground.
When it comes to the temperature of your home you really need to find a common ground with the thermostat in order to save money. Set it and forget it or lock it up.
Either way grabbing a blanket when it gets a bit chilly doesn’t cost you anything. Or opening a window to let in the fresh breeze.
A great way to save money that doesn’t cost me a dime is based on the zero waste idea.
Where we live all the stores charge you for using store bags. I think it is a fee of $0.05 a bag.
Anyway I bring my own reusable bags when I grocery shop so I am not paying the fee and it doesn’t cost me thing.
I found these great shopping bags years ago and they stand up well, wash well and I even have store clerks asking me about them.
Other great ways to save money that don’t cost you money.
Dust off your bike, or your running shoes and leave the car at home. Walk or ride to where you need to go.
If you are doing home repairs or yard maintenance and you don’t have the right tool borrow it, don’t buy it.
I have heard amazing stories of people who save money, simply by not spending the dime.
Couples and families who stay at home, meal plan, find frugal entertainment and stop worrying about keeping up.
